Warriors vs. Parents/Faculty (AKA Goffron's Geezers)

What a fun game!
After a somewhat scary start, both teams were off and running.  From the beginning, it was anyone's game.  Both teams were neck and neck most of the game (and the Warriors actually had a decent lead for part of the time!!).
In the end, the Warriors decided to let the Geezers win Winking smile
Final score: Warriors 51, Geezers: 55
Enjoy!

Final Game of the Year: Warriors vs. Immanuel (Palatine)

Could it be we did a little too much of THIS before the game?

Who knows?  We definitely were able to relax between games and enjoyed an inspiring movie that Mr. Goffron brought for everyone to watch.  Whether it was slow metabolism or it just wasn't meant to be, we weren't able to take that second tournament game.
But it's always fun trying!!!

1st quarter.

1/2 time: We gained 11 this quarter. Immanuel gained 5.

Immanuel gained 8, but we stayed the same.

(A 3 pointer!!!)

FINAL SCORE: Warriors 25, Immanuel 34
(We scored 11 points this last quarter and kept Immanuel to only 5)

The official season is over.  Thanks for an exciting ride, Warriors!  We know you'd love to define success as more wins, but there's much more than just counting baskets.  We've seen you grow as a team and work together as a team and learn skills over the course of the season. You've done a great job.

And thanks to Mr. Goffron and his wonderful support staff who gave up countless hours to make this season work.

See you all next Thursday at 5:00 p.m. for the
student-parent/faculty face-off!!!

Walther Lutheran High School Boys 7-8 Grade School Basketball Tournament: Game 1

We're off to a great start.  We took the first game with a comfortable lead, after the first quarter anyway!
I'm not including as many shots in this section since there's at least one more game to come (hopefully two!).

Warming up.

1st quarter score (we're home).

We woke up!
