Christmas Break Basketball Practice

Warriors vs. Elmhurst

I'm sorry to report that upon turning on my camera

at the beginning of the game, the "low battery" advisory

went on and then my camera shut down.   

So no photos or videos this time around unless another parent happened to take pictures that they want to forward to me. 

I actually enjoyed just being able to watch without worrying about getting the best shot.  But by the end of the game, I wondered if maybe this was a game we would rather not remember anyway?

Scoreboard summary:

1st Quarter:

It was a tough game, that's for sure, but the Warriors hustled and had some good moves (though I'm still not sure what happened, or didn't happen, in the 2nd quarter!).  They continued to be good at stealing the ball and playing aggressively.  It just wasn't meant to be this time around.  It was hard to end 2010 with a loss, but we're still proud of you, team, and we're all looking forward to cheering you on to more victories in 2011.

Warriors vs. St. John's LaGrange

This game had it all...a rocky start, a suspenseful middle, and a slam dunk finish!  St Johns had us outnumbered in terms of support in the bleachers, but the Warriors came together and made it work in order to achieve a well-earned victory. 

Great job, everyone!

Game Number Three

What a game! 

It didn't exactly feel like an even match (more like David vs. Goliath, but this time Goliath won!), but the Warriors lived up to their name and went out fighting all the way.  It would have been easy to give up from the beginning when faced with the daunting task of playing against a team whose average height was way above our own, but they worked hard and made Trinity work hard for their victory as well.

Time to regroup.

3rd quarter: We really improved. Our team gained 16 points and we kept their team to a 13 point gain.

Warriors, don't be discouraged.  You worked hard and kept them hopping.  You will continue to improve with time and practice.  Looking forward to the next game!!!

Another Win for the Warriors!

Once again the Warriors started off the scoring. 

They were able to keep the lead the entire game, but definitely had to fight
hard to maintain that status.  Trinity kept them hopping and there was no
opportunity to rest.  Great job, everyone!
